Ingredients
olive oil
flour
honey
yeast
salt
Put all ingredients in the bowl of a heavy duty standing mixer.
There’s need to proof if using instant yeast.
Attach a dough hook and mix on low speed to combine. Add additional water now if the dough appears too dry.
Increase the speed to medium-high and mix until the dough is smooth, elastic and pulls away from the sides of the bowl, about 5 minutes.
Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap.
Allow to rise until doubled, 1-2 hours depending on the temperature of your kitchen. This is my dough after 1 1/2 hours at 75 degrees.
Fully fermented dough should retain your thumbprint when pressed.
Fold the dough onto itself to form a ball.
To make a pan pizza, lightly oil a 15″x10″ or 9″x13″ baking sheet.
Flatten the dough into a circle. Let it rest a few minutes to relax the springiness.
Gently stretch the dough into the corners of the pan.
Prick the dough with a fork.
Spread about 1/2 cup pizza sauce over the dough.
Leave about 1/2-inch border for the crust.
Sprinkle with cheese, pepperoni or your favorite toppings.
Bake 15 minutes at 500 degrees, or until the edges are golden brown.
Cool a few minutes before slicing.
Enjoy!
